Story

Hanamichi Sakuragi is a delinquent with a long history of being rejected by girls. After enrolling in Shohoku High School, he becomes interested in a girl named Haruko Akagi, who loves basketball. To impress her, Hanamichi joins the school's basketball team despite having no prior experience. However, as he learns the basics and plays matches, he begins to realize his potential and develops a genuine passion for the sport. Together with his teammates—captain Takenori Akagi, sharpshooter Hisashi Mitsui, point guard Ryota Miyagi, and super rookie Kaede Rukawa—they aim to conquer the national championship.
