Methodology Overview
This simulator ranks weapons by running all-vs-all matchup simulations under a chosen scenario and constraints, then aggregating win rates into a Top X list. Use the settings below to explore how rankings shift between 1v1, War, and Cosmic contexts.
For scoring definitions and how WBS is constructed, see the methodology link below.
The ranking output is derived from Weapon Battle Score (WBS) and matchup adjustments under your chosen settings. Changing settings changes the evaluation context, not the underlying weapon data.
Core Settings
  • Scenario: ranks using 1v1, War, Cosmic, or an aggregated “All” mode that averages across scenarios.
  • Win Condition: filters the win route model (all / control / erase / kill / rewrite / seal / survival).
  • User Skill: models how effectively a typical user can operate high-skill or complex weapons.
  • Top X: the number of results to return (clamped to 3–50).
Environment Tags
  • Tags bias context (e.g., space, magic, technology, close-combat, long-range) and can shift rankings for specialized kits.
  • Clear tags to return to the default “no restriction” context.
  • Sharing: after running, the URL includes query parameters for reproducible rankings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the weapon ranking simulator.
Expand
How are the weapons ranked?
Weapons are ranked by generating a comprehensive Battle Score. This score is derived from evaluating their core dimensions (Destructive Capacity, Range, Speed, Versatility, and Hax/Special Abilities) and running simulations to determine overall combat effectiveness across different scenarios.
What does the "User Skill" setting do in the ranking?
The User Skill setting determines the assumed proficiency of the wielder. If you select "High", complex weapons that require intense training will perform at their peak. If you select "Low", easy-to-use weapons (like firearms) will rank much higher than complex melee or magical weapons.
Can I filter by weapon type?
Yes. You can use the Type filter to compare only "Melee" weapons, "Ranged" weapons, or "Magic/Hax" items against each other to see which is the ultimate tool in that specific category.
Are the rankings shareable?
Absolutely. Every time you adjust the filters and generate a new ranking, the URL updates. You can copy the link and share your custom Top X weapon ranking with anyone.
