What is the meaning of the title 'Toradora'?

It is a portmanteau of the Japanese names for the two main characters: 'Tora' (Tiger) from Taiga and 'Dora' (Dragon) from Doragon (Ryuji). It symbolizes their partnership as the Tiger and Dragon.

Does Ryuji end up with Taiga or Minori?

Ryuji ultimately realizes his feelings for Taiga. Although he initially pursues Minori, the story builds towards the mutual understanding and deep bond he shares with Taiga.

Why is Taiga called the 'Palmtop Tiger'?

She is nicknamed 'Palmtop Tiger' because of her diminutive stature (she is very short) and her ferocious, snappy personality that snaps at anyone who annoys her.

Is there a season 2 of Toradora!?

No, the anime adapted the entire light novel series to its conclusion. There is no source material for a second season, so the story is considered complete.

What is the 'post-credits scene' everyone talks about?

After the credits of the final episode (Episode 25), there is a crucial scene where Taiga returns to school, reuniting with Ryuji and confirming their relationship. Don't miss it!

Who is the girl with the blue hair?

That is Ami Kawashima, a childhood friend of Yusaku and a teenage model. She initially acts sweet but has a manipulative side, often serving as the most mature and observant member of the group.

Why does Ryuji look like a delinquent?

He inherited his intimidating 'sanpaku' eyes from his father, a former yakuza. Despite his scary looks, Ryuji is domestic, kind, and obsessed with cleaning.

What is the significance of the Christmas Eve episode?

It is a turning point in the series where Taiga realizes her true feelings for Ryuji after encouraging him to go to Minori, leading to a heartbreaking emotional breakdown.

Is the anime faithful to the light novels?

Yes, it is largely faithful, though the ending has slight variations in execution. The anime ending was written before the final novel was published but follows the author's planned conclusion.

Why does Taiga live alone?

She comes from a wealthy family but has a broken relationship with her father and stepmother. She moved out to live on her own in an apartment next to Ryuji's house.
