Tang San, a prodigy of the Tang Sect, commits the unforgivable crime of stealing secret lore. Content to end his life, he jumps from Hell's Peak, but is reincarnated into a different world: Soul Land. Here, every person has a spirit of their own, and those with powerful spirits can practice their spirit power to rise and become Spirit Masters. Tang San awakens a 'useless' Blue Silver Grass spirit, but also possesses the powerful Clear Sky Hammer and his memories of Tang Sect techniques. Joined by his friends, the 'Shrek Seven Devils', he embarks on a journey to reach the pinnacle of the spirit world.
