No, Sonic cannot swim. In the games, he sinks to the bottom of water levels and must inhale air bubbles to survive, a mechanic inspired by the mistaken belief that hedgehogs can't swim.

What is Dr. Eggman's real name?

His real name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik. 'Eggman' was originally a derogatory nickname given by Sonic, but he eventually adopted it as his empire's title.

Sonic was created by a team at Sega: programmer Yuji Naka, character designer Naoto Ohshima, and level designer Hirokazu Yasuhara.

What is the Spin Dash?

Introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the Spin Dash allows Sonic to curl into a ball from a standstill, rev up, and launch forward at high speed to attack enemies.

Is Shadow the Hedgehog a villain?

Shadow is an anti-hero. While he sometimes opposes Sonic due to his own agenda or promises made to Maria, he ultimately fights to protect the world.

What is the Green Hill Zone?

It is the first level of the original 1991 game. Its catchy music and vibrant design made it the most recognizable stage in the franchise, reappearing in many subsequent games.
