A rat with a passion for cooking and an exceptional palate who dreams of becoming a chef despite his species.

He controls Linguini's movements by pulling on his hair under his chef's hat, acting like a marionette puppeteer to chop, stir, and season food.

What is the significance of the dish Ratatouille?

It is a humble peasant dish that Remy prepares to win over the harsh critic Anton Ego. The dish evokes a powerful childhood memory for Ego, proving that great art can come from anywhere.

What is Gusteau's motto?

"Anyone can cook." It doesn't mean everyone is a great artist, but that a great artist can come from anywhere.

Is Ratatouille based on a true story?

No, but the team at Pixar, including director Brad Bird, did extensive research in Paris restaurants and kitchens to ensure authenticity in the culinary details.
