What is the story of Bloodborne?

You play as a **Hunter** arriving in the city of **Yharnam** seeking a cure known as **Paleblood**. You discover the city is plagued by an endemic illness turning citizens into beasts. As you hunt through the night, you uncover that the Healing Church's use of 'Old Blood' has attracted **Great Ones**, cosmic entities that transcend human understanding.

Is Bloodborne connected to Dark Souls?

No, **Bloodborne** is a standalone IP with its own lore and universe. While it shares gameplay DNA (difficulty, checkpoints, stamina) and the same director (**Hidetaka Miyazaki**), it is not narratively linked to the Dark Souls or Demon's Souls series.

**Insight** is a stat that represents the Hunter's inhuman knowledge. Gaining Insight allows you to see things hidden from normal humans (like the Amygdalae clinging to buildings) but lowers your Frenzy resistance, making you more susceptible to madness.

Who is the final boss?

It depends on your choices! You may face **Gehrman, the First Hunter** if you refuse his offer. If you consume three **Third Umbilical Cords**, you will fight the **Moon Presence**, the true mastermind behind the Hunter's Dream.

Will there be a Bloodborne 2 or PC port?

This is the most requested announcement in the Souls community. As of now, **Sony** (the IP owner) has **not announced** a sequel, remaster, or PC port, despite persistent rumors and high fan demand.

What is the 'Old Blood'?

The **Old Blood** is the blood of the Great Ones, discovered in the ancient Pthumerian labyrinth. It cures all human diseases but carries the curse of the scourge, inevitably transforming those who use it into **beasts**.
